Rachel McCoy is a Ph.D. candidate at Purdue University in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture working with Dr. Josh Widhalm. Broadly, her research interests focus around plant specialized metabolism and the way specialized metabolism branches off of primary metabolism. Currently, her thesis work is on elucidation of the biosynthesis of juglone, a natural product from black walnut and other Juglandaceae involved in allelopathy.
